PRACTICE

What to Bring - we run in all kinds of weather

  1. Sweats: Every athlete should wear sweats (top and bottom) to practice. These will be worn throughout the warm-up. It is helpful if the bottoms have zippers or snaps because this makes it easier for athletes to remove their sweats without taking off their shoes.
  2. Running apparel: When it’s warm, shorts and a t-shirt. When it’s cooler, “underarmour” type long sleeve top and full length bottoms. When it’s cold, plan on running the entire workout in sweats (also have hats and gloves). When it’s raining, have a waterproof coat and pants. When it’s dark, bring a headlamp.
  3. Water: Bring a water bottle to every practice. It is helpful if the water bottle is labeled with your name.

Running Shoes: Talk to your coach about the type of running shoe that would be best for you. Wear training shoes during practice. Spikes are only worn for meets, NOT for practices.
