2018 Sprint Workouts

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Sprints Program has two workout groups;
Short Sprints (100m-400m) and Long Sprints (400m-800m)

-Athletes are placed into running groups based on ability, not age or gender
-Athletes in the 5-6 age group practice for 1 hour only. Parents MUST stay at practice AND within earshot the entire time for this age group.
-Parents MUST stay at practice for athletes ages 9 and under

Workout Flow
Team Huddle for team announcements
2 Warm-up laps (1 lap jog, 1 lap alternate skipping 100m, jogging 100m)
Dynamic Warm-up Drills (Lead by a coach)
Plyometric, Flexibility, and Form drills (Lead by a coach)
Running Workout (Sprint Coach will announce workout and break athletes into running groups)
1 lap cool down jog
Core (As a team, lead by Strength coach)
Stretch (As a team, lead by Coach OR coach assigned athlete)
Final huddle for reminders/announcements
